Well our baby veiled is doing better finally not being to shy. and starting to eat more. My big question is how should i go about cleaning his cage out. Its going to be the big clean were i wipe down all the leafs he has pooped on and clean it good. I am asking because i don't want to stress him too much he just started to come out and hang in the open, but still retreats when i open the cage( he has been here for a little over a wk and half. Any advice would be appreciated and thank you in advance. The picture is his chilling on his ficus.

Personally a quick wipe down shouldn't stress him out that much. He is probably hiding because he is also pretty young. But if you feel that its imperative, you can always set up another perch outside the cage to reduce the stress, while you clean out the cage.

Hello, welcome to the forum :). I agree, after a week and a half it should be ok if you are slow and careful (give him time to hide before wiping). They are pretty clean animals, it shouldn't take very long. As said though, if you want to it would also be fine to put him somewhere else while you do it.
Here is a great basic caresheet for Veileds you might not have seen yet - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/chameleonsinmyhouse/395-veiled-chameleon-care-sheet.html

Thank you i guess i will just let him run a hide and just take my time cleaning out the cage. Thanks again

I often wait till they are sitting on a plant that can be removed with them on it. I then clean the cage and then put the cham back in by hand and clean the plant. :)

I usually take the chameleon out with his perch then let him sit on a houseplant. Then I remove the plants and sticks and wipe down the leaves. I then replace the paper towels on the bottom of the cage and then put the plants and other furnishings back in. It's helpful to work over a towel.
