administering teramycin ( tetracycline ) ????

so my buddy camo is haveing some eye issues and i want to give him some tetracycline ( teramycine to u US folks )
my question is it seems to be rather think and i was wondering how people go about administering it.
i was thinking of just putting it on a qtip and rubbing it in but want to be sure.
i would hate to make things worse.

just a fyi the tetracycline seem to be more of a paste than a liquid.

That's exactly what I do. I used to wet a q-tip a little bit (just to make it stiffer), take a small dab and apply it to the eye. I didn't find it very difficult, my chams didn't even need to be restrained. They wouldn't really see the q-tip coming.

I agree with Olympia, that is also pretty much what I do. Poor camo, he doesn't deserve more problems.

Be sure to use it twice a day for at least a week. I like it better than the drops because if they are closing their eyes with it being thicker hopefully it's staying on longer and some is getting into the eye.

agreed, and good point, i should say that i use and reccomend, the medical style qtips they have a wooden stick and much tighter fibres that do not come off.

Sure thing! I believe dental cotton is also a good choice.
