Hi. I have a pygmy leaf. his name is Bubba. I know it's a silly name. He is my first chameleon. He is so cute and so far I enjoy having him. Does he prefer to eat a pinhead or fruit flies? I've had him for about a week now.

Either one of those is a good food for pygmies... So as far as which one he prefers it's whatever Bubba likes best.

I'm no pygmy expert, but I'm pretty sure the answer is: both! A varied diet of well gutloaded insects is always recommended.

Pammy, I was wondering do pygmies have a long toung or do they chomp down? Any one please feel free to answer. Ive always been facinated my pygmies, but perfer the biger size chamies.

Well, skajari1, you're question was good. My bf and I just saw Bubba shoot out his tongue on a phoenix worm this morning but he didn't quite get it cuz it was a little wet from the water. I just wanted to answer your question.

going along with the pygmy theme...i heard from a local reptile shop that "they" (i dont quite know who they is) are going to be stopping all importation of pygmy's to the united stats. Has anyone else heard of this?
