A coughing problem??

My cham just started this thing. It's kind of like a hiss but I'm not sure. He'll just be wandering around in his cage and then suddenly open his mouth and contract his stomach to let air out? Does anybody know what this is? He's been doing it for over a week now! He does it even when nothing and no one is around his cage. But I know it's not like he's hissing at something in his cage because he will do it in different areas of the cage. He also did it once when I had him outside of the cage. Help?

It sounds like a respiratory infection. He's trying to clear mucus so he can breathe. I would get this looked at immediately before it gets worse.

Looking into it really is telling you he needs a Vet and antibiotics. You can put them in the shower on a plant or branch. have the spray hit the wall and the mist will bounce onto them Warm water. The steam and mist helps a little. Up his mistings in his cage but he needs a vet to cure him

i agree, it sounds like a R.I. A vet visit would be the best idea.

Vet visit time for sure. Remember that they will hide illness until they are really sick so please go as soon as possible. Look for a reptile vet if there is one in your region.
