90* too hot?

Is 90 degrees too hot for my 3 month old veiled chameleon to go outside to get some natural sunlight? I want to take him out tomorrow but it's going to be 88 degrees here tomorrow. Should I put him in full sun or part sun?

If you keep him misted out there he'll be okay. Make sure he has a place to go that's shady. Direct sun might get too hot

Welcome to the forums. Yes, 90 is to hot for a three month old. I don't even keep my adults that hot. I keep my 3 month olds in the low 80's.....83 to 84. Below is a link to my blog for new keepers. 90 is probably a little to warm for a 3-month old. Perhaps you can put him out in the morning before it gets too hot.

As adults I keep Veileds and Oustalet's outside into the low-100's (103-104) here in Las Vegas with no ill effects provided they are provided with plenty of shade and are misted during the heat of the day-

Yea I thought it was too hot which is why I asked, thanks so much for letting me know before I took him.. It'll be 75-80 in the morning though, would it be ok to take him then? He'll breath through his mouth if he gets too hot right? I'll be staying out with him to keep a eye on him but he'll be in his outdoor screened cage. What is a good temperature to take him outside? It's really humid here now. Please let me know if this would be ok, I would like him to get some natural sunlight.

It's super hot here so I take my boys out early in the morning and bring them in when it starts getting too hot.......Most days that is around 11 or 11:30am.

here in New York I can leave them (veileds) outside every day on the sunny patio . my quads are in the back of the yard where it is mostly shady and the temps do not get as hot . they both get plenty of uv and can cool off enough when they have to .

Thanks you guys for all the advice!! I'm gonna take him out this morning and bring him in when it gets around 82 degrees out. I've taken him out several times before but with me handling him for no longer than 20 minutes, I just recently got him a outdoor screened cage, I think he'll like it I'll let everyone know how he does... Thanks again!!!
