60 watt house bulb

Is this the type of light most of you guys use for your basking area? My zoo med 75 watt bulb burnt out, I'm taking it back but for today I put this in the fixture and it doesn't even reach 80 degrees? It's not warm enough to even give off heat really. Am I missing something here? So for now during the day tomorrow til I go to the store I am just using my black incandescent bulb that gets to 86 degrees..

Hi, I just use a normal house bulb like that, but 75 watts. You could try the 60 watts and give it 10-20 minutes and see how hot it is then. 75 watts has turned out to be perfect for mine, 100 watts had me worried about burns.
