It has now been 3 weeks since Cami went to the vet. She had been having numerous seizures, and it had been a developing problem since she was very young. The first week of her medication I noticed slight differences. She no longer seized, and no longer locked up while climbing or basking. However, over the past two days her symptoms have begun to come back. The vet was worried that, if this happened, she would have a much more serious problem than just not being able to absorb her supplements correctly. He thought that if she did not respond to this treatment, that she probably had some very serious neuro problems that would be very difficult to treat. He said that her body condition and living environment were great, and probably what was putting off these symptoms from developing quicker than they did. Unfortunately, I think that Cami has some much bigger problems than a dis-functioning vitamin/calcium absorption rate. The main treatment now will probably be comfort. Not sure how long I will be blessed with my little Cami, could be 6 months, could be a normal life-span, but I will continue to give her the best care I can for as long as I have her. I am just happy that I was able to get her out of the PetSmart situation that she was in, and give her a life with me where she gets plenty of love and treats
