OK, so here's the scoop, It was recommended that I use 2 fluorescent bulbs instead of the one UVB tube & a basking light, (to keep er a bit cooler to prohibit egg laying)
I have a 15" 2 bulb fixture & in it I have the reptiglow 5.0 UVB bulb & a regular
15" fluorescent tube. But this morning it was 74.9 in her usual basking spot. is this too cool? It was about 84 with the regular bulb for basking.
I don't want her to get chilled.

Thanks!

yeah, I would say that is too cool. that is more like a cage ambient temp. BTW, who recommended that???

I'm not sure about the watt but I use the 24 inch ones. I live in South FL and it stays warm here year round. I have a temp gum and this along with the UVB blub keeps my girls between 80 and 82. Being 82 in the late afternoon the hottest part of the day here.
