2 days of hell - o

Rant 1 - Took my dog to get groomed yesterday and she found oodles of big blood engorged ticks, ticks running around looking for a spot to feast and fleas. SHIT!. So, we had to bomb the house, leave for 4 hours which means, well, you know.....

Rant 2 - 29 chameleon cages had to be disconnected from their lights and moved outside to makeshift tables, 3 bins of babies, 9 boxes of eggs, 3 terrariums of tiny verrucosis and pyggies, 5 different kind of feeders (eggs and feeders went into the garage) and all the trees and ropes, etc. that our chams climb on when they are out of their cages had to be moved into the garage. Then, we set the bombs and had to leave for 4 hours. We left the dog at the groomers (kennel) overnight so we could come home and start washing dog stuff.

I have spent the entire day cleaning my cham inside tables, etc before bringing cages back in. Some of my cages of the long time veileds will be torn apart and get a good hosing tomorrow and set back up before they get put back in. It is crazy how they can hide their poop on a favorite leaf and you will never see it until you move the cage. ACKKK

I have a lady getting ready to lay eggs so I didn't disturb her cage other then changing the paper towels on the bottom and put her cage back in the same place.

Rant 3 - I have to do this all over again at least 2 or 3 more times! ACKKKKKKKKKKK

If you have been thinking about purchasing a panther, now is a good time. I can make you a great deal on a male hatched 12/5. Mother was wild caught. We thought she was ambanja, but didn't know what the father was. The dudes look good and I will send you a pic if you are iinterested. IM me for details.

I"M freaking out.

I would think any kind of bomb or spray would be very harmful to chameleons. I remember reading on here where one of the Sr. Members a few years back lived in apartments and they sprayed outside only and every chameleon that he had on the outside wall died and they were all mellers. So sad. The ones on the inside wall were acting sick but survived. So I'd be very careful with that.

Now that sounds like the total pits, ugh. Where are friends when you need them? Sounds like you could have used a couple dozen of us. Hope you and all your critters are ok.

They are all ok because they were all outside. I didn't bring them in until today. We bombed yesterday. I absolutely was not going to hurry the process. Fortunately the weather was ok. I was worried about the wind because the cages weren't set up to withstand any amount of wind and they would have blown over. There are cats that come through my yard that I'm sure would have loved to snack on a free ranging chameleon. Anyway, everyone is in the house that should be. A few are outside still enjoying the outside, but they are used to being in the fresh air.
