We are very excited to become a 1st time Veiled Cham owner. We have a 7 year old son that is extremely afraid of dogs, or anything that may bite him. Is it better to start with a baby or an adult? We have a chance to purchase a 2 year old female that's beautiful, her owner said she only hisses when taking her out of her cage. What age Cham is best to start with for a new owner w kids?

Welcome to the forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons. I recommend you do allot of research before you buy a chameleon. I would recommend you start with a male so you don't have to deal with egg laying and one between 4 and 6 months old would be a good age. I also highly recommend you buy from a reputable breeder. I'm attaching my blog for new keepers below.
