She's a Lat! I'm so excited I want to see the babies now! lol, But there due to hatch around July or August! I have Pictures of her in my Profile! Check them out!
We acutally just got them a couple months ago, they were both imported and she was already Prego. So I'm not sure of their ages?! But for being WC there both very tame! They are champs at eating! There nice and healthy!
It's a possibility. If she came in Pregnant, and they were never together until you bought them, the father could still be in the Wild. Who did you buy these guys from?
They have been incubating for about a week now, there all nice and firm, none of them have shrunken up of shriveled up yet...I'm pretty sure there fertile.
these may be a retained clutch. often times by the time the chameleon gets to you it is a double clutch from retained ummm errr ummm spegg ( sperm/eggs )
(IE: mate male to female one time, she lays eggs, never mates again, but lays a second clutch of eggs. this second clutch could be fertile or infertile, could be both.)
that coupled with all the stress results in a bad clutch ( most of the time )
also this is a semi difficult species to incubate, not just a set and forget incubation.
do you think she was already starting to develop the eggs before you got her?
Yeah, I'll check them every week form here on out, but there looking good so far! There so Tiny I cant beileve that a little chameleon's going come out of such a little egg!
Oh yeah the egg's were probably fully developed when we got her!I've been checking the temp. frequently to mek sure it's set where it needs to be. Durning the day it's 75 at night it's about 70.
