‘Spoiling’ my sweet old lady

i have a male veiled, would it be ok to give him a hibiscus flower
Absolutely as an occasional treat. Just make sure it is clean and free of any pesticides or fertilizers. I have hibiscus in pots that I cleaned when I bought them as long as a couple of years ago. Stella has one inside her enclosure, but it doesn’t do very well. I have a super strong plant light for it and fertilize it with the frass from the feeders I breed, but it just doesn’t grow well. I suspect that Stella eats any new growth as she’s often just hanging out near it. She enjoys the leaves too. This is the only plant matter that I give to her and I only give her a flower every 4-6 weeks or so when they are blooming. Also, I make sure to shake the dratted ants out of the flower first.

This may seem like a strange question…but when the flower comes out the other end, is it digested? Visible in the poop?
Only strange for people who haven’t ever been on the forum. 😂 I’ve never thought to look. She’s in a bioactive enclosure, so her clean up crew takes care of the poops. Plus, her regular poo spot is half behind her lay bin, so it’s a bit hidden. I’ll try to see what I can see today though.

There aren’t too many people I can ask, who would understand why I ask this…but I know you will understand!
After looking and looking again today, nada. I do see her isopods and springtails are quite active, so they may have been waiting for it with their catcher’s mitts on. 😂 Next time I give her a flower, I’ll try to put a cover over her substrate to catch any deposits. For science! 🧐🤪
