jackson's lighting

For the last two weeks I have been using the Reptisun by Zoo Med 5.0 bulb in a dome light. Ive read conflicting opinions on the use of bulb in a dome light. Ive also read that the 5.0 bulb isn't strong enough for a Jackson's. Should I switch to a hood with a 10.0 Reptisun? What have you had the...
