Here is the most recent picture. I plan to remove the skeleton today and hand clean the rest of the tissue off.
I plan to place another specimen in with the dermestids in a few days, I will also document that progress here.
The plan is to articulate and mount the skeleton once it is clean. There is a really amazing thread with prepared skeletons on the forum somewhere but I don't remember the title off the top of my head.
Hiya Laurie :) we missed you too! Things have been really busy, I graduated in May and started an ER internship so my hours have been crazy! We only have one female panther and a male veiled right now, we lost Angus last month (He was almost 6) and the little girl with MBD in November :( How...
Hi all,
It has been awhile since we have posted, things have been crazy lately. Sadly we lost one of your female panthers recently, and we decided to immortalize her by articulating her skeleton. The first step is cleaning the bones. We considered many different options and decided that...

Hi all!
Long time no post :) We both finally have a weekend off together and decided it has been way to long since we posted about any of our crew. A few months ago we had a friend in a hard space and had to take their male veiled, well as is always the issue, we ran out of cage space...
It's been awhile, things are going well!

It's time for the weekly update :)
Hi all,
Little miss thing is doing great! She has been in the upgraded rehab enclosure with vertical space to climb for a week. She hasn't fallen once and is now hunting in the enclosure on her own rather than feeding in a tupperware. She isn't...
Thanks everyone. I'm a horrid carpenter so it took a long time, though the outcome is ncie for us. I like the pvc its great kindof wierd to work with but so easy to clean up and no rotting/molding.
I forget what the flooring is called i found it in home depot near the fencing materials. The cage material is a PVC 1'X2" in a search you may try Vinyl panel. Its pricey but fit our needs.
So Stacy and I figured we would have a crack at some cages of our own. We took a long time but are very happy with the results.
As we bring in little ones for some rehab we wanted to use a material that is easy to clean and strip. So we made the cages from PVC 1x2 and Fiberglass window...
