Okay thought I would post some pics of the last surviving girl from this clutch she is starting to look fantastic. Not quite the same or as special as her sister but gorgeous non the less.
Okay it is at an end.
The little one died last night after going down hill over the last two weeks. It goes without saying the parents will never be bred again. Her sister is doing well though as the only survivor of the clutch.
Well I thought she looked less opaque! Unfortunatly we can not see her organs through the skin. That would be soo cooll. And yes very much like a 'silk back' :D
She is alert and seems healthy, eats and poos. Shedding is a problem. she is not growing a quickly as her sister either. I do wonder if she is just an underdeveloped hatchling? I will be honest I thought when she hatched she would only live a couple of days or so. But she is still hear after...
Sorry for the lack of posts, I am going through a life changing event at the moment as I have lost sight in one eye. Anyway, little girl is still alive she is finishing a shed at the moment so will post some pics when she is all finished. She is not the best at shedding I'm afraid, it is quite...
Just don't know yet. I never give my babies access to the same temps as adults anyway and so far there don't seem to be any issues.
There will be more photos as she grows.:D
Thank you all for your comments. I will keep you all posted with its progress. I have to say 'Silky' had crossed my mind, and yes there are 'Trans' characteristics. And please from now on can you reffer to me as Gareth instead of 'him' or 'he' but dude will do lol:D
Both parents come from a long line of low pied, VERY LOW. The other looks normal at the moment. This was my worst hatch rate by a long long way. The eggs were layed months after being introduced to the male and took twelve months to hatch. I normaly only lose one or two eggs from a clutch...
Thanks, so exciting just want her to grow up so we can see her develope. Thing is I was planning on not breeding anymore chams as my hands/rooms are full of cresties.
The skin is nothing like a normal Yemen, and it is translucent on her fore arms and part of the body.:D
I just don't get the scales??? I have not seen them like this before. Please anyone any ideas?
I touch up photos as a weekend job, the pic IMHO is photoshoped if you look at the line between the leaf and the cham under her chin, there is a distortion line.
Just my view.
