Hi,
I am selling one 48" x 24" x 24" screen cage by lllreptile.com, two artificial vines and bamboo sticks, one pothos and one ficus tree. two florescent 18" uvb and multi-spectrum bulbs, two heat lamps with bulbs, habba mister, humid and temp gauges, one reptile multi vitamin powders and two...
So wait, are you interested in the chameleon, or just the cage? I wouldn't want to ship anything but if you live reasonably close I certainly could drive.
I have a 6 mo old veiled male, and he unfortunately is not doing so great. He had a swollen tongue so we went to the vet and got antibiotics to fight the infection. However, he is now to the point where he leaves his tongue hanging out of his mouth.
We are planning on moving in the near future...
Yea I usually don't give him vitamins (other than pure calcium) too often just once every 2 weeks or so. I just meant it's been a while so I was going to dust the waxworm with herpivite and calcium next time I give him a worm so he gets the normal dose. I'm a little worried as he just threw up...
Also maybe try to re position the lights, especially the heat lamp, a couple inches away from the top so the heat is not directly resting on the cage and is not right next to the chameleon.
I had the kinda the same issue with my veiled a couple months ago- he kept his eye closed a lot after he...
Well just for an update:
I went to a vet this morning that specializes in exotic animals and reptiles, and he said that Ziggy has edema, or an infection of his tongue. The tongue is all swollen and the poor little guy has trouble even keeping the oversized tongue in his mouth. My vet gave me...
I think I'm definitely going to bring him to the vet tomorrow morning. I'm hoping that it's just something stuck in there. It kinda seems like that's most likely what it is b/c he is still extending and retracting, it just doesn't seem to fit in his mouth right.
I tried to give him wax worms...
I just release crickets free range in his cage. For the wax worms I put them on a stick for him. And yea, the fan is not actually on the cage, just near it.
Here is a picture of him when he can't quite get his tongue back into his mouth
My chameleon Ziggy is having a problem retracting his tongue. He just started this today, he keeps sticking it out and then forcefully tries to swallow it back into his mouth and it doesn't seem to fold back in properly.
Any help or advice is much appreciated
Thanks

Its the society that prefers higher profits margins to quality that should be thrown away. Importation - making the rich richer, and making the poor buy thier CRAP!
Personally I would buy the LLLReptile cage. I recently bought one and its great. It's well constructed, sturdy, and the screen is nice and tight. As for the price on shipping, i'm not sure cause I ordered multiple goodies for Ziggy. One thing I remember is that LLLReptile adds a $2 over sized...
