thats gd to kno maybe people take advantage of the chameleons love for height and climbing because it is easier to place a tall enclosure in your house than a wide one
i have a tall chameleon enclosure but it is also very wide, i've discovered that the chameleon likes to cool down more if he basks in the top right corner and then goes down and across to the middle left- this keeps his cooling spot higher, which he likes, and also prevents overheating.
I've...
I'd put my beardie on my bed for a sec to close the enclosure and he'd jumped off (to no injury, thankfully) and was lay on my floor looking up at me! :D
I'll be keeping a closer eye on him in future :)
Anyone else had experiences like this?
with some thin aluminium screens the chams can tear out claws trying to get their feet out of the mesh- mine struggles sometimes to come free of his reptarium!
thats how mine started out- before you spray squeeze the handle gently to let it drip out, usually he'll see the drips and come over. I think he might be scared of the water bottle and the speed of the spray :)
In my opinion one of the cutest things they do :D
Mine licks the nozzle each day before i mist- better satisfaction and enjoyment than using a drip or rain system
