Hey, he just started just to go down, kind of explore and goes up. Today when i got home i find him kind of staying at one spot at the pot of a plant, that sits on the bottom, that’s why i started to worry a bit. He is really social butterfly and we do take him by hand and stays outside...
Hello everyone! We got our Blue since February this year, he is a panther chameleon. We made him custom enclosure, with solid sides and mesh front doors and top is also mesh. (Since in Bulgaria is pretty low in humidity, we decided on hybrid enclosure rather than all mesh, so it is easier to...
Hey 👋 My cham just shaded 3 days ago, but there is a teeny tiny spot at the beginning of his tail that looks like a stuck shed to me. Any advice how to remove it if it is ,in fact, that?
It depends on the brand. There are two best brands out there you can definitely be sure about the quality.
1. Arcadia 6% or 12% (keep in mind when you get 12% that means more light output, so you need to rise the bulb higher so you don’t overexpose your chameleon.
The arcadia bulbs have a year...
hey, regardless the age, every chameleon needs the long liner uvb bulb with the correct fixture. This compact uvb bulb does not produce the correct amount of light your chameleon needs. Since it is kind of rolled up, most of the uvb gets in thin air and leaves your chameleon with little to no...
Something to add on and to check. His uvb is 20cm from the end of his back (10 cm above the enclosure and 10cm inside, down to his back) And we put the heat lamp about the same cm to make his temp perfect at the basking spot.
Ow i am really sorry for the confusion. The spot you circled in red is just the lightning from the basking bulb actually. I was talking about the spot in yellow circle. We adjust the basking bulb high so he doesn’t get burned ( as we first got him he likes to climb the top).. now he just climbs...
Hello everyone 🤗 We got our baby Blue on February, he is panther chameleon around a year- year and a half (at the pet store wasn’t sure about his age) i got his eating schedule, enclosure set up and lights through your suggestions here and everything seems to be working perfectly for our Blue...
I hope that helps :) keep in mind to measure the temps not on the branch where he basks but couple of inches higher as your chameleon has his hight too :)
And something to keep in mind. Chameleons don’t take naps. The should be fully awake during the day. If not so maybe he is going through some kind of a health issue and he needs a specialist in exotic pets. Here we can make conclusions but a real vet needs to take care of him
I meant more of real plants.. your cham needs places to hide and feel safe, these are good plants but definitely needs more coverage. You have a lot of unused space, where you can put more branches and plants. Consider putting vertical and horizontal branches and plants attached to the sides of...
Im not by any means expert, but as i can see the enclosure is not quite suited for your gorgeous boy. Definitely consider adding more branches and real plants. And could you tell us what lights are you using
Hey 👋 not an expert here, but as i can see you are using the compact uvb, which is incorrect. It is crucial you use the long liner uvb, as the compact once absorbs most of the light and could cause a lot of health issues to your cham. As the day light it should be white bulb.. not red nor blue...
