    High Heat Tolerant Plant

Thanks, we are hand watering at least weekly and there is a drip system that auto waters daily. I'll give the pothos a shot.

    High Heat Tolerant Plant

The basking bulb/ledge temps are about 83 and the planter just under it is around 80. The cham is doing just fine, it's the plants that aren't happy :)

    High Heat Tolerant Plant

Thanks, all. I had a pothos there but it didn't make it. It could be that I started with too small of one and it wasn't strong enough to take the heat. I will try that again and also look into the Schefflera. Many thanks!

    High Heat Tolerant Plant

Hi All. So far so good with the enclosure and our veiled seems happy and healthy. One thing I'm having trouble with is finding cham safe plants that can handle the high heat of the 75w basking bulb. See attached for pic. The planter is ±12" from the bulb. Any recommendations would be...

    Help with Humidity Levels

Thanks @Beman, that is a good idea. I am considering just building a new top which may be simpler than cutting the existing and would be an easier transition.

    Help with Humidity Levels

Changing out those vines isn't goign to be easy as they are part of the internal structure of how everything inside is stable. I need to figure out how to do it. The primary challenge with the top is that the four sides are not structrually sound without that top part being conneceted and...

    Help with Humidity Levels

Thought I'd post a quick update on progress an enclosure improvements. Here are some updated pics. So far: - UVA/UVB Upgrade to Arcadia T5 - Fans upgraded to larger 100mm units both that pull from the top vents - Lower planter pulled forward to allow more airflow - Fogger ports now run to...

    Help with Humidity Levels

I’d be concerned that it would compromise the integrity of the structure, but will look closer at that idea. Thanks again for all the help. New UVB light should arrive next week!

    Help with Humidity Levels

That makes sense. Given the construction of the enclosure I need to keep the top panel intact, but I can likely cut much more out of it to improve the airflow while maintining the integrity of the enclosure. The most realistic way to accomplish this may be cutting out holes with a hole saw...

    Help with Humidity Levels

Got it, I misunderstood the intention of the jungle dawns, I thought they were UVA/UVB. Will stick with the Arcardia T5 6%.

    Help with Humidity Levels

To clarify, are these LED versions not intended to replace the Arcadia T5 UVB fixtures as proposed to replace what I have now? That is what I was considering as I only have the single slot for a bar style fixture.

    Help with Humidity Levels

Since I'm ordering a new higher end fixture I'm curious on thoughts related to these Jungle Dawn LED options? I had considered them prior. Curious to get your take? I like the fact they may not need to be replaced like the tubes do and without a solarometer I'm not sure how to know when the...

    Help with Humidity Levels

Noted, I was wondering if the fixture was the correct type. I'm not sure it's viable to increase the size at this stage though as I'd need to recut the top cutout which may not be doable. I will measure and see but I'm concerned it may run into the support corners. Will get the T5 kit either way.

    Help with Humidity Levels

Thanks for the links. This is a great idea, not sure why I didn't think of it! I will try this and then see if it helps get the mist up. Thanks again for all the help!!

    Help with Humidity Levels

Odd, the product pictures all say T5 but I see now the actual item detail says T8. My existing fixture is T5.

Just to confirm, this is the bulb you are recommending? I assume it will fit in the existing fixture: https://a.co/d/1NQBBxb

    Help with Humidity Levels

Thanks so much, going to respond now while I still can today. A few more things but we're getting there! :) Agree on this, I just figured it couldn't hurt to have the option, but the bacteria I suppose would hurt, so... This would be extremely challenging to change at this stage and I will...

    Help with Humidity Levels

Okay, I see what you mean now. Those are just small covers for the PVC inlets for the fogger. The vents are hidden below the rocks and behind the planter. I will post some pictures of the enclosure without anything in it along with the husbandry form so everyone can get a better idea of what...
