Velied Leaning Away From People After Vet Visit

That makes sense, he went through a LOT at the vet. Sadly, I still have to touch him a lot for his medications for the next few months. Though, he hasn't puffed, hissed, or closed his eyes when I've applied his topical. We'll see how he does with his injection this afternoon. Poor little guy...

Velied Leaning Away From People After Vet Visit

Nort finally saw the vet on Friday. Thankfully they're able to treat his previous burns with antibiotics (topical and injection), and his new multivit (reptivite) is finally in! However, since he's been back from the vet, every time I enter the room, he leans his body away from where I'm...

Veiled Chameleon w/ Sunburn Has Eye Issues

Nort's eyes keep closing during the day, and they don't look right. I think he might have an infection in his back (from his previous sunburn). I have a vet appointment tomorrow, but is there anything I can do for him in the meantime?? Attached are his eyes and back (taken today), I have posted...

Nort is Home! Is His Set-Up Good Enough?

Thank you! I will change the settings on his mister to go down to twice a day and see if that helps! Our house drops to around 19c at night, and his cage is in the coldest part of the house. Maintaining the lower night temps and daytime humidity shouldn't be an issue for about 9 months out of...

New To Chameleons - Adopting a Previously Sunburnt Male Veiled.

Thank you so much for all the info! Thankfully, I've had 2 sick beardies before, so sick reptiles aren't completely new to me, and the bugs aren't a problem - we have an affordable farm about 45 min from us here in SK. I will be in contact with a vet in my area this week to see if they can take...

New To Chameleons - Adopting a Previously Sunburnt Male Veiled.

The person who is currently caring for him is a retired vet tech, and when he came in, I believe that's what they did, and they said he seems to be healed. The initial injury was months ago. I plan on taking him to a vet to get it checked out as soon as I get him, I've found a reptile vet in my...

New To Chameleons - Adopting a Previously Sunburnt Male Veiled.

I was able to get a bit more information out of my family member! Not only is he no longer under a red light, I found out what he was treated with for the burn (months ago): they "fogged him with F10 and treated with colloidal silver."
