    Eating plants

I know it’s pretty normal for veiled chams to eat plants but anyone have their panthers eating plants? I noticed my Cham was a bit dehydrated as I kept noticing him drinking from the leaves every time it got misted so I setup a drip cup. I set it up with two leaves from a money tree for it to...

Making your reptibreeze xl bioactive and naturalistic

bumping this and going to ask another question. Are money trees at all toxic to panthers? Sometimes grasshoppers will hide away in my chams enclosure and I noticed they love to eat the money tree then my Cham will eat the grasshopper. Wonder if that has anything to do with him getting sick?

    Slugs in bio active enclosure

Yeah I have the same along with dwarf whites but mine are orange. So maybe they’re deep down that would make sense why I don’t see them. I have a lot of leaf litter too. I’ll try some cork bark

    Slugs in bio active enclosure

Thanks appreciate that! What king of isopods you have that hangout under the cork bark? I have a bunch of huge seed pods and other things lying around that they could hide under but never find them. Also my drainage layer would be so hard to get to. I put a bulkhead on the bottom and a pvc...

    Panther Cham not shedding possibly

Just an update. I took him to the vet about 10 days ago. She took a sample from his head and the spot on his side and said she couldn’t 100% tell but thinks it looks like a bacterial infection on the skin and gave me a cream to put on the spots daily. He’s still looking dull/grayish I have a...

    Slugs in bio active enclosure

My bio active enclosure has a bunch of small slugs in it. I also haven’t seen ANY isopods for a long time, actually I haven’t seen any except 1 since I added them tbh lol but my enclosure is big and very hard for me to dig to look for any. So I have no idea if they’re alive or not and wondering...

    Panther Cham not shedding possibly

Ok thank you and the vet I recently found seems really good. He had a respiratory infection over the summer and my original vet gave just oral meds didn’t work and they wanted all this money to see him again. I found a new vet and she gave me a 6 week course of injections for him that worked and...

    Panther Cham not shedding possibly

Yeah it’s not a burn. It’s so hard to get a good pic. It looks like bunched up skin almost. Like a scab.

    Panther Cham not shedding possibly

Oh interesting didn’t know that about burns. So it’s even weirder that the one spot stays dark at night on him. The pic I posted was the opposite side so it can’t be seen.

    Panther Cham not shedding possibly

I know but I’m showing how whatever is going on doesn’t affect him at night. Except for that one spot on his side. And he has spots all over of skin peeling slightly yet hasn’t shed in months.

    Panther Cham not shedding possibly

You can see how bright he is at night here. During the day his colors are I’d say about 60-70% their usual brightness

    Panther Cham not shedding possibly

Would a fungal infection affect his entire body though? I could see it on that one spot sure but like I said his entire body is just very dull during the day where he’s normally bright as you can see in my profile pic. At night he’s nice and bright yellow and reds then some of the yellows stay...

    Panther Cham not shedding possibly

Yeah I’m thinking he has to go to the vet. I mean He hasn’t shed in a very long time plus the skin starting to peel on his head and his colors are just acting funny and his entire body is dull colored during the day. That one spot something is up though bc it doesn’t turn bright it’s very odd.
