I don't necessarily "Tong feed" my cham. I use a pair of tong's to place an insect near him. Not hold it for him to eat the insect.

I feed my guy Seren dubia roaches, crickets, super worms, horn worms, and black solider fly larva. I also like to pupate the black solider fly larva and let those Solider fly's in his enclosure so he can hunt down flying insects.

I use a BN-Link thermostat with a ceramic heat emitter. Keeps the basking area perfect for my cam.

Its funny how he hangs off the that branch when there is a branch runs right into the feeder.

He hangs out on camera because that is where his heat lamp is. However there is a 3 branch up top that is just off camera. He likes to hang out there and snipe the shooting gallery.

I still tonged feed Dubia roaches, by placing them near him. But I load up crickets in the shooting gallery.

I spoke with Neptune_The_Chameleon aka @Gingero about my cham not eating out of his bowl. She said you might have to wait him out, when he gets hungry enough he will eat out of the bowl. Also said that you will need to add more insects into the bowl so they move around and crawl around each...

I have had the same kind of problem. So I got a shooting gallary for my Cham. And he will eat out of it. Crickets mainly.

Seren has been offline the last few days. Out ISP has a data cap and we ran out of data. Upgraded the internet while we wait for our fiber internet installed in the next few weeks. And if you are interested go give him follow on instagram. https://www.instagram.com/seren_the_chameleon/

My cameras have motion tracking. However Seren moves so slowly, that even on the most sensitive settings the AI doesn't see him move 90% of the time. The only time I've seen him move fast is when the sprinklers start up.

I change those cam's manually for now. I've been working on a bot to change the cameras. Also working on the OBS advanced scene switcher.

My chameleon doesn't mind the cams at all

I've recently installed 3 camera's in my enclosure. And my cham didn't seem scared of them. Maybe curious and its only ben a few days and he seems to not even notice them at all. In addition I have provided him hiding places away from the camera's too.
