For the fungus nats I invested in a Mr katchy helped a TON it was a plant of mine that was attracting them so if you can find out which plant discard of it mine was a dwarf umbrella since getting rid of it I only get the occasional one nat

Got everything put together fig seems to really be liking his new cage. He’s got a lot more sticks to climb on. I raised his cage as well as added coraplast boards to the sides to help with humidity and insulation and I put window film on the front it’s reflective to him but see though for me :)

There is a plant in the back that I’m a little worried about I think it’s called a shell ginger plant it didn’t produce any sap when I punctured it. Just curious if anyone knows if it’s safe

I just ordered the shelved honestly his cage needs some maintenance the plants have diminished a bit due to the winter and I had to take out the sticks and stuff for the medical bin

Yes he is currently on antibiotics he got pain meds and stuff after the surgery he has a follow up visit soon hence why he is still in the medical bin it’s easier and less stressful to get him so I am able to give him his shots

I can see that being the issue I have been meaning to raise the enclosure but honestly I just haven’t done it.. the basking temp is the same but it’s definitely warmer in the bin. I think maybe switching him to a smaller but taller cage would do him good make it warmer and higher maybe?

When it comes to covering figs view do you think if I took the backround of one of the sides and put it on the front would that work ? Allows for ventilation while still covering?

I’m gonna try and do something similar but funny enough he started coming out right after I covered the mirror also the bit on his eye is just shed no need to worry

So he actually can’t see the beardie from where he sits directly but you had a point so I was looking from fig cage to see if he could view him low and behold guess who can see the beardie through the mirror on my wall ember loved to sit right where fig can see him 🙄 covered the mirror for now...

I would love to say I’m not still having issues with him but I am we went for a vet visit he got put in a medical bin got better I put him back he was fine for a while but is back to his old habits me and my vet chalked the eye problems up to the tree so I took that out.
