    Is my chameleon hungry?

I added some more angles, they are all within the past 2 months. His casque was crooked when he was a baby and as he grew it straightened out quite a bit. I always thought his casque was pretty narrow, let me know if he looks healthy to you!

    Is my chameleon hungry?

From what I’ve read on here and other sources, I should begin slowing down/limiting feeding for my Cham once they are closer to adult size/age. I got Kiwi August 2021 when he was a baby (approx 1.5-2 months old based on size). He could eat 10-20 small crickets/Dubai’s a day. Around 6ish months...

    Chameleon Jungle Gym

What material do you suggest? I don’t want it to be permanent (so it can be easily removed) since I have stakes attaching it to my plant. His cage only has sticks and real plants

    Chameleon Jungle Gym

Wanted to show off Kiwis free range climbing. He seems to like it! He doesn’t leave his enclosure often (a good sign I’m doing something right lol) but when he chooses to explore my plant room I finally have a place to put him! Making it a lot easier to deep clean or change out some plants...

    Anyone tried vegetable plants?

I don’t think humidity would be as big of an issue compared to keeping succulents/cacti in the enclosure? I would put the veggie plants in once they are large enough to be handled. I will agree that they won’t grow as well inside the enclosure than if they were grown outdoors. But since I will...

    Anyone tried vegetable plants?

Def not tomatoes, as I responded to the other post, I will not be eating any veggies from his cage. Most likely will give them to the insects. Since it would grow inside the cage, I don’t think the plants will grow as well as outside so I don’t know if i will get much veggies to harvest from...

    Anyone tried vegetable plants?

Hm that’s a valid concern. While he munches on most plants, I don’t know if he would consume enough to cause problems? I’ll keep looking researching for more info. I will not be eating any veggies from his cage, I was thinking of “harvesting” any peas (or greens if it is safe) and giving them...

    Anyone tried vegetable plants?

Overall question: Have you tried growing vegetables in your chameleon cage? If so did your Cham eat it? Any comments concerns? Second question, are there other safe flowers besides hibiscus? I have a pied veiled and he loves chomping on any plant I put in his cage. As a Cham mom and a plant...

My cham looks angry and eating dirt?

The branch by the basking bulb was about 10.5” away, the pothos he likes to hangout on was about 8”. From what I’ve read for a 5.0 it should be a min of 6” and max of 12” so it def was on the lower end. I added more branches to his enclosure and I’m about to get another pothos to fill in the...

My cham looks angry and eating dirt?

I added a reply to the thread with feeding/supplements. I gut load using fresh fruits + veggies (strawberries bananas kale carrots romaine lettuce etc) and add some high cricket calcium food as well. I usually throw in a bunch (total of ~20 insects) of crickets/Dubai’s into a feeder cup in the...

My cham looks angry and eating dirt?

Unfortunately he has a tendency to screen climb to the top of his cage, causing him to have minor burns from the heat bulb which is why the branch is so low :/ it’s a 5.0 uvb bulb. And I’ll add more rocks layers to the dirt! Thank you!

My cham looks angry and eating dirt?

Kiwi is an 8 month old pied veiled chameleon. Over winter my sun room gets too cold at night so I moved his cage into the living room. During this time he acted fine in his cage and would run to my hand knowing I usually let him roam free in my plant room (aka sun room). He loves to sit and...

Cham hasn’t shed in a while.. but wants to?

Sorry for the late reply. I put my overall husbandry in my first post any no one mention anything I should change. I can paste it here as well. Only update is for Christmas I got an automatic water and fogger (really helping with humidity since the heat is on all winter) Some info: - 2x2x4ft...

Cham hasn’t shed in a while.. but wants to?

Update Y’all: he finally started shedding two days ago. Guess it just a while. So far it’s only his head but I bet he will feel much happier when it’s over!

Cham hasn’t shed in a while.. but wants to?

Hi guys! So when I got Kiwi in August he was a baby, and shed multiple times, like expected for a growing Cham. His last shed was 10Sep2021. Since then, he seems to have gotten darker in color, I assumed it was to keep warm since it’s getting colder (his basking used to be almost 85, but now...

Coloring or some sort of issue?

Thank you! They are both very handsome chams. I guess I’m just paranoid since I keep finding him too close to his light. I’m glad the coloring seems normal

Coloring or some sort of issue?

Hello! I got my pied chameleon from petco in August. He was a baby and since has grown a lot! Ive noticed as he grows his coloring has changed, which I know is normal. But now it’s hard to tell what’s a natural change or what is actually a skin issue. He is a stubborn man and always finds a...
