    Crickets vs Horned Worms

Puff Daddy! I love when a 150 gram lizard puffs up and hisses at me. I just ATE a 450 gram Steak and Cheese sub - Learn your place in the food chain, reptile! I just got some small silkies from Beast Mode, and they were great. I ordered 25, and they shipped like 50, with food, and my guy Lenny...

No no no. The shipment from Beast Mode arrived, albeit a week later. I was commenting on randomly getting little packages in the mail, with just a piece of cardboard inside, and nothing else.

Is this shed or something else?

I agree. One of my previous coneheads, Butch (Sundance had already died, like the movie), used to mash his head against the mesh near the heat lamp, and his head kinda looked a waffle. What an a$$hole. He lived to be a little over 4, but I've since moved their basking spots lower.

so if you google it, it is a scam. Sort of. I mean, no monetary transaction transaction takes place, yet.

Have not arrived yet. But I did get a small package addressed to Jon Bryan, with just a piece of cardboard inside. Evidently, this is a new thing. Maybe scam . Has anyone else experienced this phenomena?

Interesting. Are they edible when they arrive? I tried growing my own a little while ago, and it was pretty much like sea monkeys. And thanks SteveH.

Need help with sick veiled chameleon. Won't eat or open eyes.

I'm not sure I understand this response. That said... Good information from Beman on the H2O2. I've washed cages in the shower before, never using soap or any caustic solvents, because if you look at these things the wrong way, they f%^king croak. I will definitely try it the next time.

    Please help

My first guy Georgie took out 22 crickets in a feeding when he was around 6 months old. Hopefully he'll eat more and it doesn't become a parasite sitch. Sometimes they like different food too. I've heard the roaches work well?

Need help with sick veiled chameleon. Won't eat or open eyes.

He does look a little dehydrated (eyes are a little sunken). And I have seen them eat dirt because they're nitwits. I would try to hand mist to his face which he will not like, but may get him to start drinking.

FL Chams - Does anyone know how to contact them?

Thanks Steve! They're about two hours away so I'm not sure if I'll get to see them. I actually talked to them in the past and they were extremely helpful and courteous.

Dying? What should I look for?

My chameleon Squiggy actually died today, so my input may be valuable. I would say, if he starts to lose weight, worry. My guy went from 180 down to about 140 before I noticed, and then brought him to the vet. Multiple shots, meds, then hunger strikes and force feeding Carnivore Care, and now I...

    Please help

How much does he weigh? Did you take him to a vet? They'll most likely tell you you'll have to start feeding him Carnivore or Omnivore Care.

FL Chams - Does anyone know how to contact them?

I just thought that they may ship after a certain age, like 30 days, or 60 days, but I understand the difficulty. I think LLLReptiles ships when they are 30, but these looked bigger. So Marks or JannB for veiled. Does anyone know of a Veiled breeder in New England?

Storm Preparations... What You Need to do for Your Pets...

There are so many good ideas here. As a newbie, I'll give my two cents. As a former boy scout (40 years ago) we learned humans can live 60 days without food, but 3 days without water. I know we're not chameleons but ... stock up on the poland water. Each year we go on vacation about two times...

FL Chams - Does anyone know how to contact them?

Hello Folks! I am new to this site but I searched the other threads and did not find the answer I needed. I am an avid handler of reptiles/handlers over the past 40 years, and I started getting Veiled's 6 years ago. All the others died (misinformed husbandry/bad vets), but I got some beauties...

Is it possible he's just not happy yet? How long have you had him? How long is he?
