unfortunately, the veiled chameleon we have had for half a year is in need of a new loving home.
i have a five week old daughter, and although we have tried to work him into our new schedule, i feel as though he is not getting enough attention.
he is a male, and he is mostly friendly...
yeh well we never noticed it when he was younger, but looking back at pics from the day we brought him home, the little curvature was there. just not very much.
i'm just hoping its a benign little cyst or something nonthreatening. he doesn't have any issues moving or anything.
ooh man :(
you should REALLy see his spine.. ill take a pic in a minute..
it has a lump on it.. :( it doesnt seem to affect anything/ but its probably gonna be a vet visit..
he seems to be healthy,
i just wondered if you thought so!
and also about how old is he?
the pet store we rescued him from (tehe) didn't know jackshit about chams. (they gave them water in a dish! and told us the exoterra glass terranium was perfect for him and he wouldn't outgrow it...
no no no the window IS open. :)
it has a screen though so he can't wander out or bugs get in.
but yeh its just a screen and he hangs out there like so .. of course its shady in this pic i took this afternoon but normally its super sunny there!
does he look healthy...
yess he sounds and looks really healthy!
we have numerous books on the veiled chams also so we're always referencing it. ha.
and yesss we're building a screened inclosure that's around five feet tall and two feet wide. woo! he will love it.
he's baskin' in the window right meow.
and i would post pictures, but for some reason, my camera's memory card decided to disappear. but here's the most recent ones.. like a month or so ago.. which i know isn't very helpful.. ha.
ps.. yeah his cage is usally 80 - 85. idk why i said 90-95. haha.
i honestly don't think he's dehydrated.. butttt maybe.
i just need him out of that cage asap. I HATE IT.
okay first of all - i never once said i don't accept that the set up is wrong.
I KNOW HE NEEDS A SCREEN CAGE - I'VE ALREADY SAID WE'RE WORKING ON THE NEW ONE.
and to be honest, he's not even in his cage the majority of the time. during the day he's out and about in the window sill (which is...
I will get a new thermometer, but the temp has never exceeded 90 degrees its always in the 80s and my thermometer works i have tested it out. I dont leave the window down ever when i have him in the windowsill so unless screen blocks uvb he is cool. He doesnt gape he just acts a little weird...
i have a thermometer in there and it is accurate. we don;t let the temp get past 95 and it's usually at 90ish.
we keep his cage misted throughout the day. probably every two hours we mist it so he has something to drink and humidity to take in.
we get him out every day and put him in the...
