Hi, I personally wouldn’t move them when there ready to lay, sounds abit over complicated as a pose to just putting a lay in at the bottom of her new enclosure, stress whilst laying or failure to lay due to stress can cause serious problems. Lay in on the bottom where she has access to at...
Yeah really like the Ankaramy panthers and your right about not going wrong with a panther, I think the only other species is have is a parsons chameleon I reckon
Looking lovely. Unfortunately we can’t get them outside it’s to cold 😂 it’s currently 4 degrees.
Elton shed last week, it’s his second shed with us and he just seems to explode in size every time
I really like the Ambanjas , if we get another one it’s going to be ambanja or nosy Mitsio for sure
All looks perfectly normal, Elton has yellow on his cheeks that spread into his mouth as you can see on the photo, when he does gape you can see the yellow on the counter of his jaws, im Sure it’s just pigmentation, as you said everything is fine with her mouth so I wouldn’t worry !!
Ive...
@Thompson thought I’d give you an update on his progress , how are yours getting on, considering there around the same age, he just wasn’t happy at being disturbed in his money tree
Thanks guys, seen some mad prices on some nice looking isopods, granted they all do the same job but I can’t believe how expensive some are, going up to £90 is a lot 😂
So I need to add some more isopods to the bioactive set up, already have springtails and 1 box of isopods (not sure which ones) already in the setup,
what are the best types to add ? are the all Cham safe ? And where in the Uk is the best place to pick them up, I’ve looked online but no many...
Drainage layer is bio balls, can’t remember the specific brand though, but I’m pretty sure it’s what I’ve attatched in the photo 👍🏽 it has no built in drainage valve but it just syphon out the build up of water using air hose and some pvc pipe
Use the magnetic pot holders or you can use some reptile safe epoxy / glue and stick them to the sides in plant pots, as you can see that’s what I’ve done below and I have a glass sided viv
Awww thanks appreciate that, so far it’s probably cost us £1000 to get it to this point that was complete set up, including the animal and adding plants over the last month, the complete set up
When we purchased was around £600, which included everything g listed in the photo, the animal was...
Wouldn’t make it would just use this. Plant growth has been crazy good, just add springtails and a few wood lice species and your good To go, I’ll add a pic of my bio active that’s been set up just over a month, we have added plants but look at the climbing plants to see the results
So here’s a little before and after, when we first started at the beginning of feb up u til today ! It’s literally addictive but it’s worth every penny for the little man !
We had him from a specialised reptile shop in the Uk. The deal with breeders direct, yeah he’s meant to be around 5 months old or so, but he seems to be growing fast
This is my bio active set up it’s habistat, I have a drainage layer but don’t have a drainage valve , I remove the excess water manually from the drainage layer when it’s getting full, I do this with air hose a bowl and abit of sucking to create a vacume and it pulls all the excess water out, I...
Yes fully aware thank you it was a one off , a cross over on the new timers. It literally went on 2 mins before lights out, so don’t worry it’s not a common occurrence, just thought it made for a good photo at the time 😒
