    Chameleon Fall

Ok so I just checked on her again, and she looks like she is doing a lot better. She is climbing the branches. I’m not going to go in there again, because I don’t want to stress her out.

    Chameleon Fall

About ten minutes ago my chameleon fell from the top of her cage to the bottom. I think she fell as a defense mechanism because she has never fallen before. I have been out of the room since, trying to not stress her out even more. I don't know what to do, because when she fell she turned very...

    Laid eggs

Do you know if the heat bulb will burn through the aluminum? I’ve heard it happen with other screens but I’m not sure if it would happen with the one I want.

    Laid eggs

Also, I forgot to ask my last question. Since I want to make my own cage, what kind of screen should I use? I am almost set on an aluminum screen from Lowe's, but I just wanted to check and make sure it is safe before I buy it. Another question about the cage is, can I paint the wood, or will...

    Laid eggs

About 4 weeks ago I posted a thread asking about my veiled chameleon. It came to my attention that my cham was a female, so I put a lay bin in. Do you think she is getting ready to lay? She hasn’t found the lay bin yet and I am scared that she will get egg bound.

Ok so I have three more questions. If I am feeding her 3 large feeders three days a week (like @MissSkittles said) how would the supplements work? And my other question was, Do I have to change out the sand and soil mix after she has layed her eggs? And how often will she lay?

Yeah I just added a bunch of sanitized branches, the lay bin, took out the fountain, more vines, and I will take out the carpet once she is more comfortable with me handling her so she can have like a big cleaning.

Should I be worried that she hasn’t eaten yet? She has only been with me for about three days now but if she has to lay I am not sure if it will have an impact on her.

Does anyone know if I should still be feeding her right now if she is about to lay or what?
