hey my 3 yr old veiled chameleon has been spending a lot of time on the bottom of the cage trying to get out. hes clawing at the zipper quite a bit.
also hes been eating less then normal.
why is he so restless? could he be unhappy or what.

heya jack, i feed my 3 year old veiled 20 large crickets every other day. He eats them all. I could probably feed him crickets everyday but i mix up the diet with other stuff.

and you know what, he does gape when he is under the heat lamp. but he never has before which led me to believe it was dehydration and not heat..

and now that i think about it. he only fell once off the mesh. but a couple times off branches i had tried to tie in there.. the tape snapped a couple times when he had fallen

My cham falls every now and then.. he climbs on the sides of this mesh enclosure and its not very good place to climb i dont think, and as a result, he has fell a few times. Can i pad the bottom with something? basically its just plastic trashbag and kinda thick carpet.

i just got bit for the 1st time. adult 3 yr old male. punctured the skin a little. pretty damn good bite id say. was tryin to feed him a bit of strawberry (got my finger instead), its like chameleon crack for this one. lol
where can i get some normal bamboo then?? i saw some bamboo at this chinese store in the mall, but that might be the "lucky" bamboo your talking about cuz they had em in all shapes/designs.. got one for my aunt once, but guess that kind is toxic to my chameleon?
I want to put a bamboo plant in my enclosure. I saw that "Heavenly Bamboo" was on the safe plant list but not sure if all varieties are safe. Im cool to put this in there right?
