First, yes, doxycycline.
Things were up and down for most of the week. Same lethargy, eyes closed, but still eating. We made some additional changes to the enclosure - removed the driftwood (porous, could possibly harbor bacteria) and material from cage floor (now just bare glass)...

Blood work came back today.
The blood profile was perfect. Organ function was 100% normal, and no signs of vitamin imbalance.
The CBC showed elevated white counts, which is usually a sign of infection (I am very familiar with CBCs because my kid is a cancer survivor)...
Just got back from the vet. They seemed to think he has some sort of systemic infection, but no way to know for sure until the bloodwork is back. There was evidence of thicker saliva, which is indicative of infection. It didn't appear to be obviously respiratory, but URI couldn't be 100% ruled...
