so besides the money factor, as long as I dust with D3 as usual,I shouldnt have a problem. Also if you go to http://www.phoenixworm.com/servlet/StoreFront you get 600 for 27 w/ free shipping.
Im not actually planning on doing this as I do not have the time, or the want, just wondering. Is it possible to breed different types of chameleons? Say, a panther and a veiled or a jacksons?
There is only substrate at the bottom of the plants. I don't think he would have gotten to any as I cup feed him. As to the water crystals that is a negative. I feed the crickets Natural Zone Total Bites. It looked decent. I just got the orange cubes from flukers so im going to switch to that.
There is no substrate in the enclosure. There are 3 plants obviously with soil. They all have organic soil, and one is covered with stones. But I don't free range so he would really have no reason to go down there?
Hes definitely eating. Thats really the only time I see him. As soon as I put the cup in, he comes out. I pretty much went searching for the actual feces for about a half hour tonight and found nothing.
Cage Info:
* Cage Type - It is a Reptarium 60 gallon. I think 24x18x30 (??)
* Lighting - am using a 24" reptisun 5.0 linear tube. I currently do not have a timer (getting one tomorrow) so they go on when I leave for work and get turned off when I get home. Normally on at 5 and off...
my chameleon is very young, about 2 months (he's 3.5") I cup feed him with 1/4" crickets. They are in a plastic bottle only about 1" deep. My chameleon can't figure it out. He keeps hitting the side of the cup. Any ideas?
Does anyone have a humidifier in with any of your chameleons. This seems like a pretty simple and efficient way to keep both the ambient temperature and humidity at a constant level that would be quite sufficient. Let me know if anyone has any experience with this.
So today is day two of my owning of a chameleon. He is shedding which i think is a good thing. But he still hasn't gone on to his basking spot. He just chills on the cool side. Should I be worried he's not going to bask?
I have a feeding cup. He doesnt really get it tho. HE keeps trying to get the crickets and hitting the side of the cup. I lowered it so hopefully hell figure it out.
ok so here are the pictures as promised. I changed the bulb to a 75 watt normal light bulb so now the temps are 80 at the basking spot and about 75 everywhere else. The humidity is 70% all the time which spikes to 90 when I mist. He still has not used his basking spot. O, and sorry about the...
So i finally got my first chameleon and I could not be more excited. I ordered him from FLChams and everything went very well. He is already eating and drinking too which I am presuming is good. The one thing, however, is that he has not gone to his basking spot at all. He stays in the cool...
Hello. I was jsut wondering if anyone knows of any good pressurized misters out there for a bit less money than the mist kings. I know you get what you pay for, but money is tight. Are they even worth it for just one chameleon?
I actually haven't bought it yet haha. I work at a hotel so its almost impossible to get a certain day of the week off. I have a day off requested next week. So, hopefully, next week it is. How old should the cham be before moving it to the larger enclosure?
I washed them and repotted them... not too sure if it was organic but I can double check. I am also going to be covering the soil with smooth pond stones, so will that still be necessary? Also, right now its a trash bag lol, but I have a bucket that slides in and out of the bottom of the larger...
Hey everyone, this is my first post. I am eagerly awaiting a new velied cham from flchams and was wondering if you could give me some pointers on his enclosure. Right now its a 60g reptarium, but I've already built the base of his new home once hes big enough. The plants are a live ficus, a live...
