Silks are my staple feeder. I mix in crickets, supers and horns.
I buy the silks small, 100 at $7, and raise them on the powder that Mullberry farms sells. The powder runs around $10 and last the 100 small silks until they are all gone or have cocooned.
This lasts my full grown male panther...
My male panther walks in his sleep. I opened the door into his room one night and startled him while he was doing this. He fell 3/4 of the way down his cage before catching himself.
I searched intensively and the sites Laurie just posted were all that I could find.
Main Points:
Heavily planted glass aquarium/ terrarium with a screen top
Spray 1-2 times per day
Make sure the cage dries down between sprays
3 small crickets per Pyg every other day
Low to mid 70's...
Update
Of the 4 Pygs that came in, only 2 have made it. The heat pack was either a dud or spent by the time they made it to my house. It was exactly what I hoped would not happed.
The 2 females that made it are doing great. They are eating and drinking well. The darker of the 2 might be gravid.
I found him under a log on the bottom of the cage. I sent a pic to the seller. I hope we can work something out.
It's sad that he made the trip from Africa to die in my terrarium.
I haven't seen the male in 3 days now.
There is a distinct smell in the tank telling me that something is dead.
