Still haven’t been able to find a long enough branch to fit all the way across the cage. But, I found out the ivy inbought wasn’t good for chameleons, so I switched it out with a petunia. Adds some color and will grow like crazy! (Hopefully) also added part of a golden Pothos at the bottom. In...
Here is another picture. I added the soil to the bin and repositioned the branches, along with adding several bendable “branches” I had from my previous chameleon. I’m so ready to add some plants to this thing!!
@Sammy Grigio I was just getting an idea of placement. There will be about 10” of soil in that bin so everything will be a little higher. These are all branches I found fallen off of an old oak. Do you think there is too much, or I should simplify it a bit??
Been a long process with shaping things just how I wanted and dry times. But, this thing look amazing!!!
A couple notes: I did use flex seal on the spray foam in order to attach the coco fiber. I slathered it on pretty thick, but it is holding up rather well, I’d say! I’ve never done this...
Finished foaming all three panels yesterday. (With the help of my brother). I decided to foam the two side panels as well (it was cheaper that buying cork bark) this thing is loaded with ledges and pots for plants. I can’t wait to see it all finished!!!
Couple updates. Seems like I’m going bioactive! I made a box out of poly-carb. (It just barely fits in through the front of the cage) but, it does fit! I pieced it together and caulked the seams. And, have begun the process of painting it with flex seal. (That shits expensive!) I’ve also...
Thanks! I ended up getting something similar to polycarbonate to use for the back. I’m thinking about using spray foam to give the middle some dimension. As well as some spots for plants. But, you say I could make the bottom box out of poly-carb? Does it have to be 12”? I made a small door at...
I’m new to this site. Not new to chameleons. I made this new cage for a panther chameleon I don’t even have yet and prob won’t be able to use for awhile! But, It’s 4’ x 4’ x 28” and It’s a monster! Built with cedar and painted black for aesthetics, I even made a table for it to sit on(since the...
