It’s 9 inches tall and 10 inches across. I think I would be able to fit a bigger pot in there this was just what I had that worked at the time. I will go to the store tomorrow to get a larger pot and more soil.
Yes she does, she hasn’t ventured down yet to check it out but her sister from the same clutch looks like she is definitely gravid and has been walking around the edge of her egg bin. Kind of interesting that both of them are carrying eggs for the first time at the same time.
Someone whose female chameleon is having similar black colors in her back legs and tail has a theory that she is gravid and the eggs are pressing on a nerve that is causing the color.
They said it was in one of her legs, I wasn’t there though they won’t let you go inside with your pet still because of covid. And they did say there would be color change bc of the injection
That’s a good theory, I’m not sure if she does she is 10 months old so she is old enough that she could be. Her sister from the same clutch I have a feeling will become gravid soon or already is because of her coloring and how much she is climbing around towards the bottom of the cage but I...
here’s what today looks like, I added some more branches and plants around her laying bin, her basking spot is at 80 degrees. Her entire tail is now black along with one of her legs. She is still acting normal besides the discoloration it’s so odd.
I noticed my Cham might be constipated as well that’s why the vet went ahead and gave her a cloacal flush and some fluid therapy and I went ahead and bought an automatic mister for her to make sure she was getting consistent water and more humidity, which helped her poop. But now the black has...
That’s what the breeder I got them from uses and directed me on how much to give. I would think if it was an issue with the supplement it would have happened sooner and to more than just my one, or to one of his many chameleons that uses it.
Here’s what she looks like today. Honestly the black on her belly looks like it has gone down a little bit but one side of her tail is dark now. But only one side the other side looks normal! The vet did give her a cloacal flush and fluid therapy though and did say that would cause some color...
I already did, I have my own thread with my information and I even went to the vet yesterday but still not completely sure what’s going on so i was just curious about this specific females update to see if the black ever went away.
Hi, I feel like my female panther chameleon might be experiencing the same thing yours has. She started with some black markings on one side of her stomach, which has spread, took her to the vet yesterday and they swore she looked super healthy and it must have just been bruising and said the...
Update: vet claims that she looks super healthy, doesnt feel anything out of the ordinary in her stomach and the bloating is just from her puffing up with air since she was irritated. Says it’s not a fungus or rot, his diagnosis is that she must have just fallen off a branch and bruised herself...
I agree it’s internal, I texted the breeder I got her from and he said he believes it could be impaction. I heard warm showers where they are sitting on a plant while the water hits the side of the wall can help so I took her out to do that, and while handling her she did not hiss or get angry...
The time difference is 2 days. I’ve been feeding around 8 crickets every other day. They are fed fresh veggies and the orange cube squares from flukers plus another gut loading feed for crickets from flukers, I know it’s not the best brand but what I have right now. There are no fumes any time I...
