My veiled chameleon has been acting very strange lately. He sits in one spot of his cage with his eyes closed for hours and shows no interest in food. He is not dead(I checked) but will not eat. Please help

Thank you for the help, I found out the problem. I was using a clear cup so he would go under it, see the bug and shoot his tongue at the bottom of the cup. I have now replaced it with a white cup and it seems to work. I am interested in taming him to the point were I can feed him with tweezers...
