Things you never would have said before getting a chameleon

Not another one named pascal… No, you cannot climb my face to get to my hair… Man, how do these guys survive in the wild?? C’mon, bite the stick so I can give you the antibiotic… No, not my finger, the st- ouch! You cannot eat only superworms. Eat the cricket. Mmm, tasty cricket! Do NOT...

    eaten lizard

That’s good, but you will probably want to do another fairly soon to make sure the lizard did not pass any parasites on to Bruce.

    Popularity of Reptiles

Probably the lower cost as well as several other factors: Reptiles just make better pets for some people - no fur to trigger allergies - some reptiles are very low-maintenance - most reptiles are silent - reptiles are more independent and don’t require attention like dogs and cats do - smell...

    Panther male or female?

Normally, Panther chameleons spend about 20-30 days after the gravid period starts before laying eggs. While they can go a bit longer before becoming egg bound, it will be a concern if she goes longer than this. If this plant is not inside her enclosure, she might not feel comfortable laying...

    Panther male or female?

Definitely a female, and if the 6-8th pics in your first post are recent, you definitely have a gravid girl. You will want to include a lay bin ASAP or at least make sure the soil in the bottom is the right texture to hold a tunnel and not collapse. I have never seen so many greens and blues...

Depends on the snake, really. Ball python? Definitely! Reticulated python? Nope!

    10 year-old buying chameleon

Often in these situations we cannot convince the user to not get a chameleon at all, especially for younger users. As well, too many replies only talking about how the chameleon is going to die will most likely scare the user off of the forums. I think that in these situations it is best to...

    10 year-old buying chameleon

Looks pretty good. I would not get the fake vines with leaves, as chameleons (especially veiled chameleons) tend to eat plants. If the chameleon tries to eat the leaves, it could become impacted which will result in a costly vet visit and possibly death. Real plants are a much better option...

    10 year-old buying chameleon

It’s your choice if you want to buy it. I would just check the return policy first.

    10 year-old buying chameleon

I didn’t say that you can’t, but I would recommend against it. There is nothing wrong with it, though the cheap price is uncommon for a quality misting system. If it has a decent return policy (a few months at least), then I would have no issue with getting it, but I wouldn’t want to waste money...

    10 year-old buying chameleon

If you can’t afford a MistKing you can always opt to hand-mist. It’s more work, but far cheaper. You’ll just need a plastic spray bottle (dollar stores should have them) and you have to most for a few minutes at least twice a day.

    10 year-old buying chameleon

Tweezers are not recommended for feeding as they can injure the chameleon’s tongue. For supplements you will need a calcium WITHOUT vitamin d3 and a multivitamin with d3. Use the calcium every day except for once every two weeks you will use the multivitamin. The misting system might work...

    10 year-old buying chameleon

I don’t think you realize how different reptiles are as pets from animals like cats and dogs. You can’t “train” a chameleon to like you, but most of the time you can build enough trust so that it will allow you to handle it. Sometimes you will get a chameleon who absolutely will not let you hold...

What are Some of Your Favorite Songs and Music Videos?

Blue Stones - Shakin’ Off The Rust Probably one of my favourite songs, also one of my favourite artists. I also listen to a lot of Gorillaz and Beach Weather (Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz and Sex, Drugs, Etc. by Beach Weather are really good imo)

Whats Happening to my Chamelons Tail?

That should be correct. In the future, however, it is best to create your own post as it can be difficult to follow two unrelated conversations in the same thread. If you would like a specific member’s advice, you can usually summon them in the post using an @ like this: @Ambilobe123
