    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

Yes, just scoop it out with a napkin when necessary. He's already done his deed within half a day of being in there so i'm guessing it's a good sign!

    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

It'll be more like a tray; the walls won't be taller than 2-3", simply to catch any excess mist that escapes the mesh, instead of landing on the table and causing water damage, it'll land on the acrylic which will be easy to wipe off compared to wiping it off a wooden surface. Overtime, I worry...

    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

Also, the acrylic is resting under the cage, ive yet to put the walls on it because I haven't found a place that sells acrylic glue/cement. I might just use clear silicone but still thinking

So the bottom is it's own construction, not part of anything. It's pvc, on top is a layer of: - Egg crate - window screen - clay balls - window screen - organic soil mixed with coconut fiber, charcoal and 'forest bedding' once im happy with placement (which I think I am), I'll be doing...

    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

For the drainage, i'm going to make a false-false bottom, 5" or so above the plastic tray made out of [likely] a double layer of the paneling I have on the back for support, mesh liner and moss as a "floor" and whatever water spills through the moss would land into the tray which [hopefully]...

    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

Okay, so a few questions. Most important one first: Mr.Chameleon, lovingly named Maxameleon by my kids, as he will now be referred to, has been going to just about the very bottom of his cage to chill in the umbrella plant's soil. He seems to have spent most of his time there today. I gently...

    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

So here's a question, I was under the impression (without any research, just thought) that the uvb bar was sufficient enough for the chameleon and the plants, is it possible to replace the uvb 'reptile' light with a full spectrum grow light? Just trying to see if I'm reading this conversation...

    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

That's a very good call, I have a few lights on my plants just to limp them through the winter, I'll likely purchase a full spectrum led bar for the cage as well!

Kaizen This is amazing, I'm, no joke, considering laminating your response. That's a whole lot of info I need to wrap my head around, especially the vitamin schedule and misting. I just now only had time to finally sit down and reply to all you wonderful people, but I am for sure going to have...

Amazon links! You're amazing, thank you!! I only threw reptibreeze/zoo med out there because i'm assuming they're probably the cheapest, and i'm sure there's way better, more expensive professional grade bulbs, I just can't allow myself to buy them yet. Is...zoo med/repti cheap? Is there a...

    I finally got one!! ...HELP!

I was planning on patiently waiting until I did further research, had time to let the plants settle in, etc etc etc. Well, randomly browsing CL 2 nights ago, I stumbled upon a post of someone selling their panther cham, with all supplies pretty much, for FIFTY DOLLARS. I just couldn't...

Best sealant to use on wood?

Yea, I barely got through the 2nd page with the warning labels before deciding I'd rather just silicone the whole plank instead at that point lol.

Best sealant to use on wood?

The cage is dents exactly the same, just not coated in black? From what I've read, the monsoon does a rain fall type effect and is on a timer already. Am I missing something? What's the difference between the 2 and what makes one better than the other? Would love a bit more detail in...

Best sealant to use on wood?

I planned on coating the entire thing with foam/ silicone afterwards and making a moss wall, but if it says no water, i'm a bit skeptical too. Does anyone have any experience using it in a terrarium?
