    Heating Water Resivore

Why not just put the heat pad on a timer for intervals less than it's shut off time?

crickets are really loud at night:/

I was thinking the same thing. My Cham is 5 month and just switched to 1/2" 2 weeks ago. Regardless, his crix don't chirp yet. To the OP, I would suggest switching to smaller crix for now for the chirping solution, as well as being better for your Cham at his age and size.

    Naming a pair of Panthers.

Lilo and stitch was the first thing that came to mind... However, I've never seen the movie. Thing 1 and thing 2 was my runner up. What about fred and wilma, or george and jane (jetson, not of the jungle) judy and elroy jetson. Or luke and lea skycrawler.

    how important is misting?

I'd say misting is pretty important, next to feeding. Although, I have a humidifier, its an ultrasonic. They do drip quite a bit. But, like you said, it cools the air down quite a bit. So the time that it's on, in order to stay warm, doesn't produce enough water to replace misting.

    old

You name your thread titles like you're naming a poem.:D You should diversify, open up a bit. I thought this would be about your old chamelon loveable Jenkins, but you let me down. Just kidding. About a year though. Perhaps a bit more.

    Cage is ready...Wheres my Cham!?!?

Nice little baby, maybe they'll give you some sort of refund if it is indeed a girl. I dont know lll's policy, but most breeders will make the switch or of worst case, a deep discount.

    mountain chameleon? live young?

Very interesting about the jacksons. I had no idea. Then again if I were into breeding and raisig babies, I may have known ;) As for the snake. It's possible it was in the viper category. My brother had a picture of it for the longest time, but it would take me weeks before I could even find...

    mountain chameleon? live young?

OT a bit, but I once saw a snake who met its fate under a car tire. Somehow when in got hit it squeezed all its inards out its rear I guess, but to my suprise it also squeezed out a handful of babies. Some didnt even make it all the way out, which is what led me to believe, they were born, or...

So... Did you get 2? I was confused about the 2 for 15. If so, the obvious question being, what happened to the other one?

    Armadillidium vulgare- rolly polli's

You dont even have to wait that long! Im not sure if there is a ton of snow in WA right now, but they're probably "sleeping" under that same rock they'll ne under all summer. Its below 30 here in PA, but I figure I can still gather a good amount tomorrow. I saw some today under some old wood I...

    Armadillidium vulgare- rolly polli's

See nothing toxic about them. Only thinking that they may be a bit hard. I can find these literally on my front porch. I figure they'd be an easy, quick colony. No intentions on making them a staple, but something to subsitute the crix with maybe 1 or 2x a week. Any thoughts?

    Senegal

Just a quick note. You may not want to water him within 1 1/2 hours, preferably 2 or so before lights out. Gives them a chance to warm up again before sleep, also the floor shouldnt be wet. For example, my lights go out at 6pm, so I wont water after 3:30-4pm at the latest. To answer the last...

Yes, I forgot to mention. I second that! If you're going to boost your watering, make sure you have suitable drainage.

His eyes look pretty bad in that last photo. A warm shower may stress him out way too much this early into it. Spray around him gently withwarm water. He needs this, from the looks of things, at least 3 or 4 times a day. How long have your misting periods been? For instance, I mist about a half...

    My PetSmart Journey

Compact bulbs, uv or not, are made to reduce your electric bill. It takes less energy to run a compact 40w than it does to run a regular 40w bulb. They're also brighter, and thier lifetime is almost triple that of a regular bulb. So, yes, they serve much purpose, just not for reptiles.
