So,I was unsuccessful with the attempt at getting Gizmo to try hornworms.
They ended up getting massive lol.
So,I've decided to use this as an opportunity to teach my son about metamorphosis.
Already have them all set up for pupation.
Thank you very much.
I'll get a patch kit asap.
The 12% should be here Monday.
Thank you for your kind words.
I'm no rockstar lol.
Just a guy who did his homework before getting into a hobby.
His light is 7 3/4" from his basking spot.
I kept measuring temps until I got his basking temp in the recommended range.
I have it on the screen.
I've never seen him climbing on the screen,so, I haven't been too worried about him getting burned.
Still going to get a stand just to be on the safe...
Enclosure picture.
It looks like there aren't many horizontal walk ways, but, there are several of them.
The umbrella tree grew around them and created more hiding spots for Gizmo.
Also,ignore the duct tape lol.
The enclosure came a little beat up.
I'm guessing UPS played kickball with the box it...
Thank you.
I've tried to build trust, but,he's reluctant about it.
I'm guessing the owner of the pet shop just tossed him in a glass box and kinda did little to nothing for him.
So,he probably doesn't have many reasons to trust the giant hairless apes.
I make sure to thoroughly clean my fogger every morning to prevent any nasties from growing and spreading.
I concentrate mostly on cleaning the tube since it's segmented to prevent anything from growing in ribs of the tube.

I usually hydrate my crickets by giving them fresh fruits such as mangos.
I've never used either of the gutloads you mentioned, but,I've read that flukers isn't a very good gutload.
I like to gutload my crickets and other feeders with fresh greens, fruits, carrots and bee pollen.
You're not wasting anyone's time.
If and when you're ready,I'd be happy to help with advice and whatnot.
I'm from Indiana as well, and would be willing to help with certain plants and I may have a few extra enclosures lying around that I'd be willing to part with.
The conversation went like this:
My wife-"How many crickets are you getting?"
Me-"A few."
My wife after seeing the receipt in our email-"500 is not a few!"
"What if the lizards don't like them?"
Me-"I've never known a bluegill to turn down a cricket."
My wife-"If any of them get out,you're...
How do you expect anyone to give you advice, when you just said you don't want any?
I get being a new Chameleon keeper, but,it definitely isn't something to get into blindly.
I researched and prepared for years before I got my Veiled, and I'm still learning things that I never even thought to...
