Now the problem is he wants to travel to find more. Was about to make it to the fence and then who knows where.

    Bees and wasps?

Well. He got one and he liked it. Hope he doesn’t get stung, but have to assume he knows what to look for.

    Bees and wasps?

I just brought cosmic outside for the first time this season. He is eyeing up some bees and wasps. Do I need to worry? I wouldn’t be able to prevent him from eating one and it looks like he wants a taste.

    Greetings/Salutations from a new member/former Stalker...

Mine did it with superworms and silkworms. Took a week to get him eating crickets again. That was when I was 100% cup feeding. Now he mostly free rage feeds. I just don't trust them to know whats best.

    Greetings/Salutations from a new member/former Stalker...

    1. Biggest danger to stick chewing is that they can get a sore and it can get infected. My guy has a mouth sore, and I think it mar be from his chewing of sticks which is typically when he’s trying to drink off it. Make sure the sticks are sanitary. Not picked from your yard. 2. I have...

Is this a sore or normal... In mouth.

So I spoke to my breeder. Bruce at Chameleon Paradise. He wants me to get a second opinion, and referred me to someone who should be able to help via phone consult. My reading leads me to believe that the medicine, route and frequency can do more harm then good. He seems to think its an...

Is this a sore or normal... In mouth.

Will stay on it with hydration. Your thread is basically what I’ve been relying on for info, but dont feel confident to tell her what to do. I mentioned your cham, but didnt go into much detail. It seems uncommon. Otherwise, I’d expect to see more of it here on the forums.

Is this a sore or normal... In mouth.

I got the feeling she was doing this, but thinking we’ll end up lancing it off next week. I’m hoping she knows more then me. I just got home, but plan on Googling it and seeing what I’m up against. I am not a dr, but I was thinking some sort of bacterial infection. I don’t keep any other...

Is this a sore or normal... In mouth.

The vet gave me Tazisef. I need to inject his dosage in the base of his tail daily. If there is no improvement, she thinks we’ll have to remove it surgically. Meanwhile, he definately doesn’t love me as much as he did, but he dislikes the vet a lot more. On a side note, she did a great...

Is this a sore or normal... In mouth.

My local vet referred me to an exotics vet about 45m away because it seems like a surgical issue. I have an appointment for tomorrow. Happy they got me in so quick. Will update when I get more news.

Is this a sore or normal... In mouth.

I just installed two LED fixtures yesterday in his room. I was relying on the window, but it just doesnt get enough sun this time of year. In the summer, it seemed fine. Season is the only thing that changed in regards to the plants.

I’ll call the vet in the morning. I did read your post on Lennon and it looks similar.

Is this a sore or normal... In mouth.

No superworms or hornworms. Only a single hornworm about 2-3 months ago. I will call the vet first thing Monday.

Is this a sore or normal... In mouth.

Is this a sore? Mouth rot? Bottom of his mouth, right up front. He gaped today, which is rare for him. I noticed this red/pink mass, but don’t see inside his mouth often, so I’m just not sure. Chameleon Info: Your Chameleon - Ambilobe Panther Chameleon, 1 year, Male Handling - 1-2...

    Display lighting?

I have my UVB and heat dome above my enclosure. I'm about to mount two LED grow fixtures on the same timer I use for the chameleon enclosure. My problem is, the combination of all of the lights is incredibly unattractive. It does nothing to show off the natural colors of Cosmic. Does anyone...

Which UVB is best? | Testing 8 UVB bulbs with a Solarmeter

Love the videos. One test worth attempting would be to take the CFLs and mount them horizontally. For those CFLs, the reflector makes a huge difference, but the vertical mounting is the least efficient. More so in the case of UVI where the fall off is so great. Also, the screen you used on...

    Soaking your Cham

Ever since I got cosmic, I would hand mist a leaf in front of him. After a bit of a startle, he would walk right up and seem as if he wanted to be misted directly. I asked my breeder and he said he directly sprayed them. The breeders comment was, they get rained on in nature. I could tell by...

Cosmic Rainbow 1-Year Birthday and Health Check

I'm thinking I'm going to add a layer of screen below the UVB bulb. Option 2 is to raise it up a few inches, but not sure that'll be as easy.

Cosmic Rainbow 1-Year Birthday and Health Check

Thanks for the advice. I think I try and compensate on all of the annotations to make it fit my routine. But I am definately open to change. For example, I order 3/4" crickets so they live longer. When I order adults, they go winged too quick or die off and I think I'm supposed to avoid...
