    Is it a problem if a male does not "fire up"

    I just got a male red bar Amblobe panther. I have shown him another male, females, and himself in the mirror. But nothing. He head bobs and chases the females around the cage but he does not fire up. Oh he is an adult, I was told he is 2 but idk. lynn
