Thats 6FT Mate, nothing wrong with large cages, think how big it would have in the wild!!! My male will have a 4x4x2 to himself soon, deciding on weather or not to bother with a female.
Just to let you all know, there has been a slight setback, the blade in my jigsaw broke, so i will be cutting the wood tommorow instead.
Also,
NO CHAMELEON IS GOING TO SUFFER IN ANY WAY!! I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO KEEP THEM IN SIMILAIR SIZED VIVS HAPPILY<
I would prefer if people would keep...
I dont have to worry about this now as i have found a sheet of wood i can cut down to seperate immediatly if they fight, or get stressed, or breed more than once every year.
John
Good ol' PVA glue and water mixture for waterproofing.
i have a 3x2x2 spare incase they fight, i have always kept viv lights inside, and never had a burnt cham or blown up a bulb, but i will see what i can do about external mounting.
Hi all
Picked up my 4x4x2 today, and tommorow is the first day of the build
Here are some pics of it, no modification yet, it is for a pair of Veiled, but i will have a 3x2x2 ready incase of an argument, if this happens i will split it into 2 4x2x2's for them.
Seperate Basking spots
This...
i may make the second viv into two 2x2x2's, for some bearded pygmy's and the other tank for maybe a young female veiled.
great link mate, just spent an hour searching the forum for pics of there terrariums, which are very impressive
Fair enough, Do you keep any chameleons like this? being as experienced as you are with chameleons, and probably reptiles in general, i would say you would be able to do this with ease?
John
Just thought i would let you know, i have since declined the purchase of the viv, and brought a double stack which is 4x2x2, 4ft high, so i can keep a male cham in one, and gonna keep either an arboreal snake, or a female cham in the other, i may put a seperator in the spare on to make two...
That is setup how it would be at the current owners before i have brought it, as the top is mesh, i can put al lights outside, the plants will be replaced with live plants, and the three sides will be covered in polystyrene sheets like a fack rock background :D
Hi all,
Just decided i am going to buy a new viv for Bud, then found this:
its 52x4highx30front to back!!
Can't wait, i will be getting a female for it too, and if they fight, i can split the viv easily :D
