In my Biology II college class we talked about this year being one with very high number of cicadas because of the weird lifespan and egg laying cycle they have. I believe she said every 7 years there is a huge burst of them than normal. So there will be some stuffed chammy bellies this year. lol
My chameleon sometimes rubs his eye on a branch. (maybe cleaning off some leftover shed?) Have you ever seen yours do this? I'm no professional, but it looks a little swelled. Maybe he scratched it?
This is amazing! My goal is to have my chameleon enclosure look like a professional zoo enclosure and this hits that mark.
I wanted to build my own (but because I have no equipment) settled on a zoo med reptibreeze deluxe to get that glass door lol.
I don't believe you can buy six months worth of crickets. I believe a Cricket lifespan is about a month. I'm a new owner too and you not only will have a pet chameleon, but pet feeder crickets to keep alive also. Lol. Plan many trips to just get crickets in case of a sudden cricket die out...
Bromeliads add so much color I love them. I have two in my enclosure. I have been watering them like normal and now I fear I may be over watering after reading this.
This is Pastel's new cage. I'm new to owning a chameleon and mine is just over 6 months. I got him from a specialty reptile shop in Nashville. I never knew I could love the little cricket muncher as much as I do lol.
The cage is a XL Reptibreeze LED Deluxe and I love it. All the plants are real...
