People’s Chams getting picky, HA. My 1.5 year old female. Eats everything like it’s her favorite. Once i was loading cricket cages and walked out of the room, with her door open. Needless to say she found her way to the 100 crickets and feasted for a couple minutes before I got back in. LOL
Interesting. Took some digging but I found some other cases of this online to. Personally I think it’s kind of a digestive thing, trying to move that food through there stomach or something.
Me to thank you. I saw her do a weird thing, it was like a gape. But I’ve seen a lung infection before and they tend to sit with the mouth open for a long time, in one spot.
This was different, she opened her mouth as far as she could, puffed up, and kinda squirmed her body. Did this a couple...
Her calcium is on point, phosphorus free. I’m happy it can be normal after being graves. She was on antbiotics for a couple weeks prior to laying. Seemed to be a little rough on her body. But she’s off and better now, should be a happy Cham. Thanks for all the help
I noticed this! I didn’t know it was actually a condition. I just looked it up after reading this. What causes this? Her supplements should be good. I will start using the reptivite instead of the supplement. I was using, which was straight vitamin A instead of beta carotene. First noticed it...
A few months later and she finally laid! Took much long than expected, she was huge. Dug half the laying bin onto the floor and appears to have gotten them all out successfully! Took her about 24 hours for the whole thing. Spent most of the night digging. Thanks for all the help.
That pictures...
I had one that did that when it was very young also. I kept it at 85 in the basking spot and he basked all the time! I almost think they don't know any better at that age imo.
I hope Katacara is right, and I'm just over worried. She still hasn't dug any. She was laying on the bottom of her cage a few hours after she woke this morning. Wich I had never seen her do before. I kind of shoed her up to make sure she was alright. She returned to her branch and seemed okay...
