Yah I'm bad at explaining myself . I would hang two hot spots one a bit hotter then thenter other ie: 1- 75 watt halogen - hang from ceiling about 10ish inches from desired basking spot and 1-60 watt house bulb 6ish inches from another basking spot . Make them both on the "hot side" - close...
My suggestion is to make the basking spot bigger . As in, put one bigger hotter bulb in with lower perches / one smaller basking spot with lower wattage . Hang lots of plants and horizontal perches . If that makes sense
