Thats what I have seen other people say because it is a ft wider than the required size, I plan on utilizing the width fully as I have a plan to build a bamboo subframe from one end to the other, often I see people with the "correct" size viv but not using all the height.
Theres a great company in the UK so Im in contact with them to get a pricing on a 36" wide 48" high and 20" deep hopefully it wont be that expensive lol, if it is I will probs keep the exoterra and see how I go
Im in the UK so wanted a glass as it gets cold where I am, my house also can get cold, being in the UK I am limited to the size I can have and this is the biggest size exo terra do which is the only manufacturer that sells all glass vivs that big here, the only other option I have is to get a...
OK so after loads of research on this terrarium I still cannot find a difinitive answer to the question as to if this will be big enough for a male adult panther. I have a habitat fan with a coolsense thermostat so ventilation isn't an issue. Really hope I can get a definite answer as its still...
so 25 percent width of the uv light but how far in depth do you think ? would you just have a strip going all the way back to front of the viv or just the depth ov the uv source ?
Thanks
awesome I think I will mount it in the middle to get a nice even spread and if it is on a stand I can even raise it to cover more, and then I will put the basking in a corner so he has a toasty corner to go warm up, and then the arcadia 90 cm canopy t5 across the front of the terrarium.
I meant one hanger for the jungle dawn and one for the basking bulb, not two jungle dawns which would probs be far too much lol, It says it can penetrate 3 ft so one should be enough, It also says not to put it directly on the screen as it voids the warranty so thought it would be best on a stand ?
I think it will work fine to be honest lots of people use it, I would personally prefer the seconds timer due to building a bio active live planted terrarium, I just like that I can set a misting schedule for certain times of the day to suit the plants as well as the cham.
ok awesome so I am now thinking 2 x http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/light_bracket.php, 2 x Dome one for 40w jungle dawn spotlight and one for basking, and 1 x http://arcadia-reptile.com/vivarium-canopy-luminaire/ with uvb bulb, does this sound ok ? This would be massively cost efficient if...
