I have 3 hex tanks for sale. None hold water. I figured these would be good for pygmy's or frogs.
$60 - 65 gallon, stand, hood and light
$50 - 45 gallon, stank and hood, no light
$30 - 30 gallon, no stand or light
Will trade or make an offer.

Poor choice of words. Should have said hardiest or easy to care for. I have many other reptiles and amphibians just fairly new to Chams. I had a Senegal for 5 months. I sold it to get the veiled. No offense taken. I also have a 75 gallon reef tank and tell people the same thing when they say oh...
After the loss of the veiled this week I would like to try again. I trashed the homemade cage and plants and other supplies and will start from scratch. My question is are veils the easiest? If not what ones are?
Thanks
To late for the vet. I called to make an appointment and went get it out of the cage and it was gone. :( Going to miss the poor little guy. Just wish I knew what I did wrong.
Well things turned bad quick. Its at the bottom of the cage and won't move, barely breathing. Don't think it will last much longer. I tried force feeding and drinking last night but no good. Won't open its mouth and am afraid to pry any more. I saw the Baytril but unable to obtain without a...
Called several vets and the cost is way to high for me. They suggested higher humidity in the cage, UVB light, and more misting. The vocalization could be a respiratory infection. Is there anything I can do cure it? I was going to try and force feed it, vet suggested. As it doesn't seem to be...
Sorry for the confusion. The bulb is UVA only as I just read the package. Its a regular screw in type light bulb, not spiral or flourescent. My old one was UVA/UVB. The sounds are more like a grunt to me.
I have a huge Butter Fly bush in my yard, 8' tall x 4' wide. I didn't see it listed in the safe plants. I was wondering could I put my veiled on it to bask and get some other live food? There are many butterflies, moths, bees, wasps, etc. I am concerned about the bees and wasps hurting it plus...
The eye opened up some yesterday after several heavy mistings. Today it is closed up but not as bad. I replaced the bulb with a UVA. I forget to mention that the Cham has become very vocal the past week but didn't think much of it to now. I believe it ate 1 cricket yesterday. I put a few more...
Thanks for the responses. I do not see any crusty stuff or discharge. The eye looks normal except its closed. Should I mist more often? I was thinking of running the shower hot to get some humidity and place the cage in the bathroom for a few hours. The cham does deem thirsty and will drink...
I have a 8 month old male translucent veiled cham. It has stopped eating this week and just noticed that its right is closed and won't open. I tried the saline drops I read on this forum. I was wondering if I could use Zoo Med turtle drops. I have it an open air cage about 10"w and 22" tall and...
Kin,
Thanks for the info. I don't want to cross-breed. Just trying to utilize space the best I can. What about using a bird cage to house one. I will most likely have to get rid of one chameleon.
I have two questions regarding housing.
I have a 3 month old male veiled and a 6 month old female Senegal.
1) Can I house them together in the same cage?
2) Can I use bird cage to house them or 1 of them? It measure 45"Hx33"Wx14"D.
Thanks
Picked this guy at the show in Hamburg yesterday. Suppose to be a low end translucent. I don't actually know how to tell. It was displaying some cool colors which is why I bought it.
I make my own with deli containers and the plastic air valve for fish tanks. I always end up with a leak even after gluing. I was wondering if I use a longer piece and attach it with plastic nuts and the soft washers. Anyone try this?
