Actually, he usually is more green and doesn't really look that pale and the horizontal bar down the middle is pretty white.

Thats pretty much what he looks like all the time. When I moved him from his smaller enclosure his "bars?" turned like a brownish red, but not anything near as brilliant as you would see in some pictures. He can be a brighter green and maybe sometimes have a little bluish in him, but thats it.

I have a male panther chameleon, not sure on the specific type. He is 2 years old. He comes with a 2x2x4 cage that is set up with biovine, fake pothos vines, and a live umbrella tree. I have a MV bulb with 10'' dome (both are still in boxes). The smaller cage is at least a 18'x18''x24'' also...

Do you change the basking and ambient by moving the bulb closer and farther away from the cage, or did you have a dimmer dome?

I was reading on a website that the MV bulb is the best because it delivers UVA/UVB and heat all in one bulb. I've also read that this particular bulb get VERY hot and shouldn't be set too close to where the Cham can reach, I think at least 12 inches away from the bulb or it will burn. I'm...
