I've got a video I took of mine back in August. Ichabod has developed much nicer colours since then. I'm actually planning on moving him down to a metal screen 4'x2'x2' cage so I can install a drip system with drainage and get him nice lights (MegaRay) suspended above.
Panther Setup
Well I just got back from Canadian Tire, and I couldn't be happier! I went in to grab a food scale, and they had a decent one there that reads down to 1.0g that was advertised at $29.99. I took it up to the counter, and when the girl rang it in it was only $12 with tax. Needless to say I got out...
Yeah, I'm going to head out very soon and try places like Canadian Tire, Walmart, etc. until I can find a good gram scale that will do the job. When I get home and get him weighed, I'll order the right Reptaid.
Does anyone else who lives in a place where the cold Winter doesn't allow you to...
Yeah, I just looked up some weights for adult Panthers and it seems some can be just under or over the 250g mark, so it's not necessarily a definitive answer. Is the difference between the two Reptaids (normal or XL) the strength of the formula? I'll see if I can find a scale locally to buy...
Do you know the average weight of an adult male Panther? I don't have a scale, but I can order one from the same place as the Reptaid to sort out the dosages then. Would it be the under 250g version?
Hey guys,
Just a quick questions for those of you who have used Reptaid, what was your dosage for an adult male Panther? I'm thinking of buying some for my boy, as he's looking a bit duller in colour lately (misses the sun, it's -20C now so I can't take him out).
Hey guys, I'm hoping with your expertise you can identify these three chameleons for me. I have an general idea for #1, and maybe #2, but no idea on #3.
Dubia's are the BEST feeders hands down for any reptiles or inverts you may have. They are:
-noiseless
-odorless
-no jumping
-no flying
-no climbing
-all sizes from 1/8"-2.5"
-EASY to maintain, they breed continuously on their own
Vendors here in Canada offer Dubia's at $1 a piece, but...
Besides the possibilities of it being a burn or a fungal infection, I think it also looks like large rub marks, possibly from him dragging his side across the screen.
Just wondering where you are? Up here in Canada you can get a good quality cham of pretty much any locality for between $200-300. Of course the localities like Nosy Mitoso and Ankaramy go for a bit more, but I don't think $500.
I think it's based almost purely on their beauty, and the many locality variances you can get. They're not any harder to breed and raise than Veileds, so that's out of the question.
Wow! Thanks Harry!
I just put an order through with Arcata Pet!
Should be arriving in 7-14 days.
Thanks again for looking that up, I couldn't find it anywhere that would ship here!
Cheers
Well I don't need it now, but I'd like to have it on hand incase something does go wrong. I would rather not pay for a checkup on a healthy cham just to get a script. He's also had a clean fecal in the past couple of months, so I don't see why I would want to get another one. Thanks for the...
Darn, I'll just have to pick some up next time I head down to the States. Mind you if I had the choice of free health care vs. un-prescribed meds, I would have to pick the first!
Thanks anyways guys!
