NO LOCUSTS AVAILABLE IN OUR AREA !!!

Swellreptiles is excellent too. Ebay might be possible too. And you could buy some dubia roaches and get a colony going, then you always have emergency food available.

    Enclosure uk

I’m in the u.k too, I don’t know if a cage that would be big enough, not that is waterproof etc, some of the mesh ones are quite large but then you have the problem of spraying and everything getting misted too. I’m afraid I resorted to a very simple wood frame, clad sides with pvc, £10-15 from...

Gardeners, what can i easily grow a lot of to feed/gutload

Hi James, yes, I buy alfalfa seeds from eBay, only a £1 for a packet and they last for ages, some are sold for sprouting or ‘green manure’ but they are all the same I think. And the same for turnips, bought as seed and also the mitzuna, mustard etc, they are sold as a ‘spicy salad’ mix. I just...

Gardeners, what can i easily grow a lot of to feed/gutload

Hi James, I have a vine too and I second squash or courgette, I plant it here in the spring, there’s soon a few spare leaves for gutloading, lots of big yellow flowers, then small to more mature fruits so you get three different options, all of which are great, all the way through to late...

I know we're not supposed to mix chams and frogs but...

LOL, yes, they occasionally do, I don’t think there’s a lot of stress though, the panther ate a locust whilst the frog was on his back. As for a panther eating a frog, all I know is the tinctorius are a large and heavy frog as a meal to a panther, there’s no way my panther could eat one.

I know we're not supposed to mix chams and frogs but...

I actually find with my darts that they just love to climb, they will spend some of the day climbing all the branches and plants, right up the the very top of the enclosure so I get to see them almost all the time, they became more active when given access to a large enclosure. For them and the...

I’ve kept my 3 sipaliwini tinc dart frogs with my panther for over a year, works brilliantly, panther fine, doesn’t even look at them when they climb high up in the canopy, frogs mating and laying eggs. Enclosure large enough to provide cool damp and warm dry conditions.

    Is this a Mulberry tree?

Hi there, it is Aesculus ( possibly hippocastanum) a horse chestnut, I believe the seeds are slightly poisonous and those and the leaves should be avoided.

    Jumping Spiders?

Welcome to the jumping spider annex of the chameleon forum! I don’t know where you can get one as I am in the u.k as is @Miss Lily, but we both were hesitant about keeping spiders, both started off with jumping spiders and then progressed rather rapidly into tarantula keeping. Hopefully @Miss...
